ABC HOME, NYC

I was in New York City during the world cup this summer. Being the un-enthused sports fan that I am, I left the bar where my friends were watching the game to make my way to the infamous ABC Home. Somehow I managed to live in New York....Brooklyn to be exact for a little less than year after college and never visited this HUGE operation. The store(s) literally takes up two street corners. The Home Store has at least 4,5 or 6 levels and the companion store across the street is dedicated to rugs and carpets. If you haven't been, put it on the list of must-sees. There's a quaint cafe inside the Home store so you can recharge with a coffee after the overwhelming experience.

I'm here!

This is the entrance to the Home Store. It just pulls you right in.

Ok, there's a lot going on here. First of all, the mirror was fantastic. Next, I liked the way they displayed it as a headboard for the bed overflowing with the most fluffy white bedding you've ever seen. I managed to resist the urge to run and jump. Finally, I'm always a fan of incorporating branches into the design.

A rusty iron end table with mirror top--love anything mirrored combined with something old. Gives it instant glamour.

This photo was for inspiration because I has just gone the Scott Antique Market in Atlanta and bought a few old corbels I want to turn into lamps.

Just thought this was a cool lantern made lamp idea.

My business partner Allyn always tells me, "You really can't have enough cocktail tables." I thought of her when I saw this.

This is the entrance to the cafe.
